junip - rope and summit ep

if you want to download the whole release, click on the cover

a few words by osenboz:

actually i didn't wanted to post a second release
today... but this deserves an immediate mention!

one of my most favourite musicians "josé gonzález"
put his solo-project aside for a while and is now
busy working with "elias araya" and "tobias winterkorn"
on the debut-release for their band "junip".

the cd will be released on 13. september, and because
of the long waiting-time, they decided to offer the
first 4-tracks ep for free!!

on this ep you'll find the typical guitar-playing
and singing of josé gonzález combined with some
dark synths, and drums - a very nice combination!

if you're not familiar to josé gonzález's solo-project,
don't forget to have a look at his homepage!
he's an amazing artist!

below you can listen to the song "turn to the assassin"
by junip which can be found on the "black refuge ep"

have a nice listen!
...and if you like the release, don't forget to leave
a comment or at least give some stars!!

a few words by osenboz:

laridae - austrias big hope for sustainment of great
free music supply just published their 53rd release!

winterphonic was founded as a trio in 2004 by
emanuel jauk who is also producing experimental electronic
music under the pseudonym "19hertz"
(you can have a look at his homepage here: 19hertz

after releasing their first cd "stop!" on
"cracked an egg records" the manning changed totally,
and now winterphonic is set up as a collaboration of
emanuel jauk and adina camhy.

inside their new cd "spirals" you'll find 10 very
nice female-vocaled tip hop songs, ranging between
melancholy and dreaminess.

my favourite tracks are:

01 - test/tube/thought

06 - electric
08 - what else

adam & alma - back to the sea

if you want to download the whole release, click on the cover

a few words by osenboz:

hello my honored readers!

the last weeks i ran a bit out of time, and so the
blog had to go to sleep for a while...
but now finally easter is here, and i've got alot
of great new free music for you!

...and the first amazing piece of music comes from
ellen arkbro and johan graden, the two members of the
stockholm-based electro-pop duo "adam & alma"

on the 5 tracks of their debut-release "back to the sea"
they offer a spheric mixture of piano-melodies and electronic
beats, surrounded by the fairy-like singing of ellen.

when i first listened to this release, i had it running
in the background, and it seemed a bit too smooth and
lovely for me.
but then i listened to it a second time, without spending
my attention on something else... and now i absolutely
enjoyed it!

...so please mind my tip for this release:
give it at least a second listen!

...and if you like the release, don't forget to leave
a comment or at least give some stars!!

yamamoto - summer songs for winter people

if you want to download the whole release, click on the cover

a few words by osenboz:

as we all know... good things take time...
and the best example to proove this saying is
"the pony republic" netlabel.

after nearly 8 monts of silence, they showed a
sign of life, and released the new ep by
"mario supereit" and "brenda j" (a.k.a yamamoto)

the two mexican musicians took some beats, bleeps
and their voices to create a very relaxing mixture
between pop and experimental indie-electronic

it's a short ep which lasts just 21 minutes,
but within those minutes time seems to run a
bit slower...

henrik josé - the little things ep

if you want to download the whole release, click on the cover

a few words by osenboz:

23seconds netlabel is always offering a big diversity
of free-music.

...and this time, they came up with a really nice
new ep from henrik josé.
the swedish musician is busy offering free-music since 1997.
you can find a bunch of tracks on his homepage.
till 2007 he produced mostly non-vocaled laidback-electronica,
and after a nearly 3-years brake he's now back with a
5-tracks ep, built on his previous experiences, but with
a new electro-pop touch.

have a look at the old-scool flavoured video for
"pinpointing the problem" here:

zoe.leela - queendom come

if you want to download the whole release, click on the cover

a few words by osenboz:

listening to the german radio-show "trackback"
on the radiostation "fritz" always offers a lot of useful
information about the internet, and additionally provides
a great selection of new creative common licensed music!
... and last monday they remembered me to a release
which i was really looking forward to:

"queendom come" by rec72's massive new artist "zoe.leela".
with this release she definitely lifts up the german
electronic netaudio-scene into new levels!
her great voice co-operates perfectly with the
diversified beats and melodies which are both capable
for partys on weekends, and lazy tuesday nights at home...

my favourites are:
01 - gold
02 - bridges
05 - destroy she says

...and for those who got the chance to be in berlin
on 13. december....
visit the record-release party at "Cafe Zapata"!!

jambassa - macchine parlanti

if you want to download the whole release, click on the cover

a few words by osenboz:

for all those who missed the dub-releases in the last weeks...
the waiting time is over!

jambassa, the dub project of "Carmine Minichiello" and
"Raffaele Gargiulo" (co-founders of aquietbump-netlabel)
produced a fine lyrics-based 7-track ep!
each track features another vocalist, some of them english,
some italian.
the beats & melodies are created digitally, but it seems
that they love to play with their equipment, and so they
created really sophisticated and interesting beats.

because of this variety, the ep is not as monotone, as most other
dub-releases are. however, it still creates a chilled atmosphere
which animates you to move your head slowly to the music.

"macchine parlanti ep" was released on monday (23.11.2009)
and i think that each dub-loving listener out there loves at
least one track of this ep ...so get it as long as it is fresh!

my favourites are:

02 - like silence (ft. candy)
07 - combo combo thing (ft. reddog and boom buzz)

emily in love - let´s pretend we´re in love

if you want to download the whole release, click on the cover

a few words by osenboz:

let's pretend we're in love...

no, i don't need to pretend... i definitely am in love with
the new record of "emily in love"!
emily (one half of the electropop duo "bisexual cyborg",
and the head of "emily in love") and her partners pia and ricardo
brought us some new very nice electronic-indie-pop tracks!

the cooking recipe is easy....

put the voices of pia and ricardo, some smooth beats,
guitar melodies, and a sweet xylophone together and
give it to emily to rework and polish it.
(and of course don't forget to put enough love inside...)

but take care!
'cause when everything is finished, you'll get an
amazingly delicious ep!

enjoy your meal!

my favourite bites are:

02 - jellybean
05 - here with you

2% - nowcast

if you want to download the whole release, click on the cover

a few words by osenboz:

archaic horizon records is always a good stop for
chill-out electronic music.
...and their latest offer is once again a real
diamond: the new release from 2%

with his second release "nowcast" Trenton McElhinney
(aka. 2%) follows the steps he did in his
previous ep "the last call home"

once again he mixed hip hop and ambient elements together
and produces a cd filled with pure relaxation.
the driving beats, and the melodious ambient fragments
fuse perfectly and deliver a unique style of ambient music.

the entire album was created live with a monome
and live-sampling platform.
you can watch videos of the tracks virga and leeward here:

bartlomiej wolyniec - our scares (single)

if you want to download the whole release, click on the cover

a few words by osenboz:

bartêomiej woêyniec loves to do experiments.
with his hew singe "our scares" he tries once again
to move the boarders of indie-music.

don't just listen to it in the background...
you'll probably not like it!
those tracks needs to be listened carefully and in the right mood.
songs like this don't come up every day,
but when it's the time for it, it'll blow your mind.

"our scares" is the single for his upcomming full lenght release,
which will be available in foressable future.
there's no release date fixed yet,
and it'll probably be just commertially available
(not under creative common-license)

bogatzke - fragments & foundations

if you want to download the whole release, click on the cover

a few words by osenboz:

fragments & foundations is the 3rd release from bogatzke,
a solo-musician from germany.
(all released on digitalkunstrasen... links below)

when i heard the first track of this release, i was not sure
what to think about it. electronic beats, a piano
and a guitar, mixed together in a nice interesting song.

then "the sound of one hand clapping" came, and this one was a bit
too "old-scool-disco-electronic" for me... but, i didn't stop
listening, because even if i didn't like it very much,
it was catchy enough to make me wanna hear more.
"ten years strong" brought this release back to where it came from -
spheric electronic sounds with decent beats and a leading
guitar-melody, all merged together to another great song.

"how to reanimate a ghost", the 4rd song from the ep
finally managed to enthuse me, and to fix the decision
to add this release to the blog.

at last "at the golden waterfalls"
(the reason why this album is tagged as "post-rock")
worthy ends this ep

concluding i want to say, that i think that "bogatzke" got talent.
you can hear the development within his 3 releases,
and i'm really looking forward to what's comming next.

peterloo massacre - peterloo massacre

if you want to download the whole release, click on the cover

a few words by osenboz:

when you read some reviews about "peterloo massacre"
they are compared to bands like "thom yorke", "portishead",
"massive attack" and many more...

and yes, i need to agree,
they are definitly similar talented musicians,
but i don't want to compare their music...
because each musician creates something unique.

the electronic sound-worlds created by paul green with
his notebook, a keyboard and this cracy "tenori-on" thing,
the baseline of colin fry, and the decent beats from howard jones
are the basis for "kin", the amazing vocalist of "peterloo massacre"
her psychodelic, but also smooth and sensitive singing
catches you after the first few broken words from
the intro-song.

"slow down kid, don't cause an accident"

not more words were needed to make me lay down on the couch,
close my eyes and turn the volume louder.

after 47 minutes the last track gets to an end...
and when the silence came back to my room, i continued
lying on the couch, because i needed a few seconds
to acclimate and to process the high amount of feelings
forwarded through those tracks...
